Postop Scar Management, Camouflage
What is it?
Scar management after surgery or injury begins with wound care. A moist wound promotes healing. Massage breaks up developing scars. Sun avoidance and sunblock protect against further permanent pigmentary changes. Topical application of silcone based sheeting, gels and select other products can also improve the results for your scars.
For scars that have healed and require improvement, an aggressive program of scare management often yeilds significant improvemnts.
Failing this, selective steroid injections or scar revision surgery may be helpful in improving your scars.
Are You a Candidate?
If you are prone to scars (family history, personal history) or have incisions or trauma in areas prone to problem scarring, you may be a candidate for a scar management program. Contact our office for further information or to setup a consultation.
We also offer a scar camouflage program to hide early or troublesome scars with special makeup products. Contact our office for more information.

COLORADO PLASTIC SURGERY CENTER -
Our Philosophy
You'll notice our logo is an outline of the human form that, like our patients, is neither young nor old, male nor female, beautiful nor disfigured. It's framed by the words Health+Form
Health represents life, safety, security.
Form represents that which is human, interesting, beautiful, and unique.
Health+Form is the foundation of the promise we share with our patients - a plastic surgery experience comprised of comfort, confidence and caring.
From your initial call through your consultation and follow-up, we encourage you to ask questions, take notes, and feel completely comfortable.
