Face Lift

What Does a Face Lift Do? A face lift, or rhytidectomy, is intended to give the neck and face a more rested and youthful contour.

Are You a Candidate for a Face Lift? If you have experienced a loss of skin elasticity and muscle tone of the face and neck, or if you have the appearance of jowls and deep creases between the base of your nose and the corners of your mouth, or if you have well-developed facial and neck wrinkles, or if you are lacking a youthful chin and neck contours, or feel your overall facial appearance is tired, you may be a candidate for a face lift.

How Is the Face Lift Procedure Performed? The operation is often performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia, although overnight hospital admission is available. Your head and neck are wrapped in dressings that are usually removed the day after surgery.

What Is Recovery Like After a Face Lift? Face lifts vary in recovery time. Minimal initial discomfort is controlled with oral medication. Sutures are removed within 7-10 days. Bruising and swelling decrease substantially within 10 to 20 days. The final result of a face lift is fully evident in four to six weeks or even sooner, while continued improvement is noticeable for several months. Depending on the extent of surgery and any adjunctive procedures, you are usually able to return to light-duty work within two weeks.

Financing: We will be pleased to help you obtain financing for this procedure. We are affiliated with companies that offer financing for cosmetic surgery.

About Facial Contouring and Rejuvenation

As we age, our facial tissues sag and our once-youthful fullness is lost. The youthful, healthy appearance of youth stems not from the skin, but from the underlying shape of the facial tissues.

Advances in facial rejuvenation surgery aim to restore this three-dimensional form of the face and neck, giving a more natural, youthful, and refreshed appearance.

Adjunctive procedures, such as permanent fat grafting, skin resurfacing or peeling, and removal of frown-line muscles can add to sustained, long-term rejuvenation.
