MEET OUR TEAM
Each member of our team is dedicated to guiding you through your experience with our Center and delivering on our promise of Comfort, Confidence and Caring. From your initial inquiry through all of your follow-up with our practice, each of our staff is here to listen and assist you through this most personal of decisions to seek out our services.
It is with a great deal of pride that I introduce you to our full-time staff members; I am confident that you will appreciate the caring and passion they bring to your experience:
Jane Marie – Patient Coordinator
Jane Marie’s ever-present warm smile reflects her enjoyment in working with people. As Patient Coordinator, Jane Marie works closely with our patients and is an invaluable resource for your questions and concerns.
After your initial meeting with Jane Marie, you will come away with a genuine sense of satisfaction. She is an astute listener and makes sure you have all the information necessary to make an informed, intelligent decision. In addition, Jane Marie continues to guide you through the process, from the initial consultation through your treatment or surgery and through your follow-up care.
Jane Marie is originally from Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in English and Photography and has lived in Denver since 1994. She has worked in the hotel hospitality industry and has experience in interior design. She met her husband, Peter, at Wash Park in 1997 and helped his cosmetic dentistry practice grow before joining Colorado Plastic Surgery Center.
Jane Marie and Peter have a two year old daughter and another baby is on the way, due in July 2008. Together they all enjoy traveling, swimming, hiking, reading, movies, art and taking Duncan, their Border Collie, on walks.
Suzanne – Patient Liaison
Suzanne is often the first person you’ll meet here at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center. Her goal is to make your initial contact as pleasant as possible. She believes that first impressions last forever… and she will do whatever it takes to make every caller, and every visitor, feel like the most important part of her day.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Suzanne and her children moved to Colorado in 2005 to embrace a whole new way of life. Dealing with changing seasons (snow!) and blizzards (more snow!) for the last couple of years, Suzanne has learned a lot about herself. (She hates snow!) But her love for this beautiful state has kept her here, along with a new love: her husband, Joe. The two met and married in Littleton in 2006, and are now enjoying the challenges of blending their families: Joe’s six children and Suzanne’s five!
Suzanne has worked in various medical and professional offices for seven years, but it is to her “life experience” that she credits her ability to act as our Patient Liaison. With wisdom, compassion, and a sense of humor, she is always looking for ways to encourage others in their pursuit of self acceptance.
Angela – Medical Aesthetician
Angela is a natural in her role as a Medical Aesthetician and has a knack for teaching skin care techniques and tricks to improve our skin health. Angela bases her approach on a careful skin-type analysis to individualize her recommendations and create a simple skin care plan.
In addition to comprehensive skin care options from makeup to facials, microdermabrasion to skin peels, Angela performs Permanent Makeup application (also known as Micropigmentation or Medical Tattooing).
Angela was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Angela is a mother of two children. Her daughter, age six, is the true princess of the house, while her son, age four, is all boy. He plays hockey and enjoys the outdoors. Angela married her childhood sweetheart. He owns and operates a successful auto business in the Aurora area. Angela and her husband enjoy spending time with their family and friends and both adore their children.
Alisun - Medical and Surgical Assistant
Alisun believes in being honest, respectful, and being true to commitments. You will see Alisun as Dr. Slenkovich’s assistant in both the office and the operating room. In her role as an assistant, she uses her friendly, caring and confident nature to help you throughout your experience with our Center.
Alisun worked to save and pay for her education at Cambridge College. She completed the Surgical Technologist program and is integral to coordinating operating room procedures for Dr. Slenkovich.
Born with a congenital hip abnormality, Alisun became interested in the medical field through her exposure as a patient having undergone a number of surgeries. She brings empathy in relating to patients who might be reluctant to undergo surgery of any type.
Alisun is a native of Colorado, an avid lacrosse fan, and huge fan of the Colorado Mammoth, Denver’s professional indoor lacrosse team.
Jessica McNalley RN
Jessica has a true passion for patient care. She is a registered nurse form Dallas, Texas and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing degree from Texas Woman's University. Since then she has worked in busy trauma centers in both Dallas and Denver
After working in E.R.'s for over 7 years, Jessica knew she enjoyed the role of educating patients, but desired to build relationships with them as well. She sees herself as a patient advocate that enjoys bringing customer service into the medical profession.
Jessica works with patients from their first consultation appointment through post operative appointments and phone calls. She works hard to assure the best possible outcome by getting to know the goals and concerns of our patients. She is able to use her assessment skills and caring personality together to assure patients they are in good hands.
Jessica enjoys running and has completed multiple full and half marathons. She has put racing on the back-burner to spending time with her husband and two small boys, but hopes to qualify for the Boston Marathon in the next couple of years.
Debbie Korotney RN - Practice Administrator
Debbie is an accomplished leader of our practice and team, and brings extensive experience in Plastic Surgery management and administration. She is uniquely qualified as our Practice Administrator, having worked as a clinical nurse in Plastic Surgery and a manager of an outpatient surgery center.
Debbie has 20 years experience as a surgical nurse, and still enjoys the clinical arena and operating room. Debbie’s true passion is Practice Management as she has spent 7 years as Practice Administrator for a large and well respected plastic surgical practice in Toledo, Ohio prior to joining Colorado Plastic Surgery Center
A native of Ohio, Debbie came to Colorado after becoming engaged to her friend since Junior High, Gary, an Architectural Engineer from Golden. Debbie’s two daughters Lyndsey, an interior designer, and Leslie, a medical aesthetician, reside in Toledo, Ohio. Debbie enjoys hosting her family and friends to all the wonders that Colorado has to offer.
The atmosphere of our Center is private, warm and personal, yet we are located on the campus of a major medical center and have access to a full array of medical experts.
SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS
FOR OUT-OF-TOWN PATIENTS
To ensure appropriate follow-up after outpatient surgery, we ask that our out-of-town patients stay in town for the night. If you need overnight accommodations, we can refer you to one of our affiliate hotels for a special rate.
